What size crate for a French Bulldog? (30 inch for most)
The most popular US breed of 2025 fits a 30" crate by both MidWest's weight bands and PetMD's breed list.
Short answer: a 30-inch crate. AKC’s 2025 rankings put the French Bulldog at No. 1 for the fourth year running. AKC’s weight chart lists the breed at 28 lb. MidWest’s 30” iCrate covers 26–40 lb, and PetMD lists French Bulldog under its 30” x 20” x 23” crate (26–40 lb, length up to 24”, height up to 18”).
Smaller Frenchies
A Frenchie under 25 lb falls in MidWest’s 24” band (11–25 lb). Measure first: if length is over 18” or height over 14” (PetMD’s 24” limits), choose the 30”.
Puppies
Buy the 30” and use the included divider while your puppy grows (MidWest).
