Which chart each size comes from

Crate

By weight on the MidWest iCrate guide (24" for 11–25 lb up to 48" for 91–110 lb), with the PetMD 18" and 22" sizes for dogs of 12 lb or less. If you give back length, the tool also checks the crate is at least 4 in longer than your dog and goes up a size if not. Between bands, it goes up.

Bed

By weight on the Orvis Rectangle bed chart: S up to 40 lb, M 40–70, L 70–100, XL over 100.

Harness

By chest girth on the Ruffwear chart (9–42 in). Breed standards don't list girth, so measure the widest part of the rib cage.

Collar

By neck on the Ruffwear Front Range Collar chart: 11–14, 14–20 and 20–26 in.

Boots

By front paw width on the Ruffwear boot chart, 1.50–3.25 in, sizing down between sizes.

Breed weights

From the AKC Breed Weight Chart. With only a breed picked, we size to the top of its range. Height is used as a reminder to check the crate's listed height.
